About Clare

Clare holding trophycertified trainers logoUSHJA Certified Trainer Clare Warren is a prominent figure in the Hunter Jumper industry. With over 35 years experience teaching horsemanship, Clare started her work as a hunt seat riding instructor in 1974, at Gold Creek Stables in Woodinville, WA. Her talent in developing a superior horsemanship program became well known and she was recruited to become head trainer at Holly Hill Farm. After more than a decade, Clare took ownership alongside her daughter at Archway Equestrian Sports, LLC in Bothell, WA.

From the beginning Clare saw a need to teach riders from a young age proper horsemanship skills. She believes that good riding comes from education, determination, patience and many hours “in the saddle”. Clare developed programs that include Summer Horsemanship Camps, the first of its kind in the greater Seattle area, semi-private, private lessons and horsemanship classes designed to prepare the advanced rider for competitions and shows. Archway Equestrian Sports also offers enrichment clinics and workshops throughout the winter months to enhance the athletic and competitive development of horse and rider.

Clare is the heartbeat of Archway Equestrian Sports with uncompromising attention to detail. Her love and understanding of horse and rider guides her operating decisions. As program administrator, she seeks out staff that follows her vision of quality horsemanship and training. Many of her instructors have competed at high levels of competition and have a well-rounded understanding of what it takes to get there. Clare believes the development of instructors and trainers are just as important as the development of rider and horse.

Clare also maintains a high standard for her horses, incorporating both holistic and traditional practices in the feeding and sports medicine program. She brings in the best group of veterinarians, farriers and sports therapy professionals to keep the equine athletes performing at their best. Clare's determination to build a horse training facility that supports both horse and rider in a positive and caring environment keeps her riders and horses returning year after year, making Archway Equestrian Sports an exceptional full service Hunter Jumper facility.
